The opening track, Dawn, is a dynamic piece that addresses the concept of the dark night of the soul. While its verses detail all of the good things that the dawn will bring, they are destined to be experienced in the future and have not yet arrived. Mankind is on a similar journey. When will we have the consciousness realised to awaken from our sleep?
lyrics
Dawn
In the morning, I’ll be there, in the morning
In the morning, we’ll see clear, in the morning
The sun will rise, and we’ll stand tall, in the morning
Weary eyes, will be reborn, in the morning
For now, we toss and turn
And we fight ourselves in sleep
We dream of things to understand
We pray our souls to keep
In the morning, we’ll awake, in the morning
Come morning, we’ll dance as one, in the morning
Right now, we’re lost in sleep
We don’t see too clearly
I reach for you, I see your light
But we keep on falling
The crisp white light, illuminates
And transforms what we fear
To walk as one within ourselves
The darkness disappears
In the morning, the children laugh, in the morning
In the morning, it’s all so clear, in the morning
The sun is warm, the breeze is soft, in the morning
In the early morning light, we’ll be soaring
